Problems Syncing IPhones And IPads With ITunes

By Byron Jonas

When you have several problems syncing iPhones and iPads you either give up, cancel your subscription or euthanize the device. The problem could be anything; USB cable, new updates, blocked by an antivirus, requirements not completed etc. You need to verify the requirements; USB 2.0 port, the latest version of iTunes, the operating system should be Windows XP home or professional with a service pack, Windows 7 and Windows Vista. If you are using mac, it should be Mac OS X version 10.5.8 or older.

One of the main reason why your phone do not sync with the computer is because of a drained battery. If that is the case, it takes ten minutes to show up in iTunes. Do not forget to use your USB cable to charge your phone. If the battery image appears to be blinking, it only indicates that your phone is not recharging. If you connect the device properly, it will only take two minutes to show the recharging image at the screen.

Buying and using a universal dock can be the problem. A lot of people connect their devices using this external port and causes your phone not to sync in iTunes. Never connect your device to any external ports, just use the ports located in your computer. If this did not work, restarting your device and the computer maybe the answer.

The support team and some admin said that maybe the problem is with iTunes. Updating the iTunes, if you are using Mac as your OS, it is effortless. You just need to go to the iTunes page, click the home button and the software update then update the entire possible program that needs to be installed.

In order to get the latest version of iTunes in Windows Vista, XP or 7, you must first delete the existing file. Go to the control panel or right click iTunes located in your desktop. Uninstall all necessary files together with iTunes. Before restarting your PC, you need to double check if all of the files are deleted.

These are the top two things that the users have chosen: Deleting the sync history and trying the DFU mode. Find iSync in your application folder and search for the reset sync history in the preferences page.

The device firmware upgrade or DFU will avoid the current OS and it will give you the permission to change your OS. This is different with restoring the phone. In order to do this, you must first turn off your phone while it was connected in your PC. For ten seconds or less, press the home and the power button at the same time. Just keep pressing the home button until it was recognized by the PC.
