What You Ought Know With Regards To Computer Freeze

By Linwood Butzer

There are a number of reasons that computers freeze up ranging from anything from a virus that is attacking the system to a computer being swamped with too many open programs and windows at once.

If you open up multiple browsers and run numerous programs all at once, they will require an awful lot of memory for the computer to process these functions. If you do not have enough memory to run all these things, it can cause the computer to lock up, and other times cause it to run slow.

People who regularly use many programs simultaneously should make sure their system has at least 2GB of memory available. If just using one or two programs, one gigabyte of memory should be sufficient.

Websites can also clog memory, especially those that are graphic intensive. This can also cause a computer to freeze, even with as little as 1GB of memory installed.

Emails and websites contain more graphics than ever before, and they need a lot of memory to work right. For your computer to run smooth and without stalls, the computer needs more memory at its disposal to process everything. However, things like word processing software usually does not take a lot of memory.

But, for frequent movie watchers, make certain that you have plenty of memory installed on your system. Computers that are short on memory will not play back the movie well.

Many times, computers will freeze up because there is not enough memory to go around and support all the programs running. However, there are times when you will access a website that is not fast, and that will slow your computer down too.

Not every website is up to speed and has the latest featured. When you get one that hasn't been updated for quite some time, your computer can freeze. An other contributing factor to this type of issue is that if the website gets overloaded with visitors, it can freeze also because it can't handle the amount of visitors at once.
