Free Cloud Storage - sleep without concerns

Historically we keep our info files and folders on our Computers or external storage device like USB external disc drive, CD, DVD, Tape and such like. Cloud storage means storing our files and folders on the web. As many cloud providers are promoting their services with free cloud storage, and folk get more aware about the convenience of the net storage, it is starting to become more favored day by day.

Cloud storage is very convenient. Folks nowadays use more than one computing devices. They use PCs at work, surf Net through PCs at home, and go online with capsules and smart phones at streetlevel. Even Televisions are now hooked up to the web. If you39;re like the majority, you might be bored with your files being scattered across different devices.

With cloud storage, your files stored on the web are right away sync between your devices. Desktops, PCs, capsules, smart phones "you say it! You now do not need to use USB memory stick to copy your files from one device to another. It is like using webmail (Gmail, Yahoo mail) where you are not tied to a specific PC. You can obtain access to your mailbox from anywhere through the internet. Also, your files are stored and backup to a number of storage devices in service provider's network, so you don39;t need to fret device failure again.

The drawback is you do need Net connection to get access to your files. File transfer speed may not be as fast compared with those stored on local drive. Another concern is the safeness of our sensitive information file. Of course, we are storing our files on cloud storage supplied by 3rd party supplier. With that having been said more people are enjoying free cloud storage like we enjoyed free Gmail, Yahoo mail and hotmail. Many cloud computing firms offring this services.

There are many good cloud suppliers offering free cloud storage. For example. Dropbox, Box.net, SugarSync & etc, Many of those suppliers work on freemium model. It suggests they offer you a certain quantity of storage for free , and if you like the service and desire more space, you can buy a subscription.
